Biography
Theman Taylor III is an associate attorney in Burns and Hansen’s business, real estate, and civil law departments. Theman’s practice focuses on representing clients in business transactions or disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, and various civil matters. Prior to joining Burns and Hansen, Theman represented individuals in personal injury cases, where he learned the skills to analyze complex legal issues and advocate for clients effectively.
Theman received his B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Reno as a Western Undergraduate Exchange Scholar. At the University of Nevada, Reno, Theman interned for the Washoe County and Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Offices criminal and civil departments.
He received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he was a member of the Berkeley Business Law Journal. As a member, Theman wrote articles on new developments in finance and business for “The Network”, a blog published by the Berkeley Center for Law and Business. At Berkeley Law, Theman was also selected as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 1L Scholar. Additionally, he worked for the Pac-12 Conference during his third year of law school, where he gained business and litigation experience while enhancing his skills in research, legal writing, and drafting transactional documents.
In his spare time, Theman enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks with his dog, and traveling.
